The movie "3 Idiots", which we watched in our December event, was a movie I heard a lot about but never had the opportunity to watch. The plot of the movie was very entertaining and interesting. In the movie, the subject is conveyed in an entertaining way without dramatizing it.

 

The film is generally based on the education system and the expectation of the family from their child. The monotonous, rote-learning education system has been criticized. Just like in our country, students in India choose a profession based on race, uniformly and according to the wishes of their families, apart from their own wishes and interests. This, of course, brings unhappiness. It should be seen as more important and meaningful to develop students instead of blinding them and making them offended, as each student can have different potential. Not according to family pressure or the compulsory direction of the education system, saving this student from all obligations and directing her/ him to what she/ he wants to be and what she/he is capable of will make the student's life better.

 

There were also elements in the film associating success and being successful with material things. Who is considered more successful? The one with a decent marriage, a high salary, and a fancy house? Or is it someone who has progressed in line with her/ his talent and desire, has improved herself/ himself, but hasn't earned a lot of money? People live with their choices and our choices determine our lives.

 

It was a movie with good messages, where I dreamed of watching the current situation, especially of students and their families, raising awareness and questioning themselves.
